Note: The MiMS Run Season is divided into 2 cycles: April 1 -July and August 1 - Thanksgiving. Teams start assembling in mid-March for pre-season runs. The season culminates with the MiMSies celebration at the beginning of December. Final season schedules will be shared when mentoring placements are announced.

Run Mentor Training Requirements

All Run Mentors are required to complete an online training course as part of their onboarding process. The online training gives an overview of our organization, expectations of your role as a Run Mentor, basics of a MiMS run and information about populations with whom we run.

All 2025 Run Mentors (returning and new) are required to attend an in-person Season Kick-off Training which will include time to connect with their teams, learn team/facility-specific content, and skills-specific workshops.

Beyond Run Teams

Run Mentors are expected to participate in races, social events or advocacy events each season and communicate in advance if they are able to attend. Knowing that, please share your interests and availability in this section.

FundRacing means running a race while raising crucial funding for Mile in My Shoes programs. While FundRacing is not required for Run Mentors, it is critical to the continuation of MiMS programming. By becoming a FundRacer, you get a free race entry & lots of great swag while also supporting your MiMS teammates. There are many options for FundRacing in one of our official charity partner races or in ANY race you choose to do during the year.
